Who TF are we and who do we think we are?
TLDR: Gen X bigger girls who spent life trundling around "normal size" stores only to find that "plus size" offerings were slim, baggy, and/or consistently unstocked.
Jessica (taller beava with actual eyelashes) and April (shortah beava with slanty eyes, no discernible eyelashes, and signature winged eyeliner) met at law school. The only things they had in common were high intellect, wicked humour, and barely subsisting self-worth. We were never the "pretty" friend. We had/have weight issues because we have problems and despite what Society has always told us, knew that our beauty was less conventional but nonetheless THERE. We didn't get the trophy partners -- in fact, we apparently worked hard to woo and be wooed by total losers. Now we're old and don't give a shit about what stressed us out years ago.
What we often bitch about is the relative lack of fun and fashionable plus size apparel. Sure, we're doing better, and we love that body positivity is (sort of) a "thing", but we love things that straddle the line between offensive and eccentrically off-colour. Stuff we haven't found easily, so why don't we just fucking make it.
It's definitely going to be an adventure, and we hope you enjoy the journey with us.
